Access up to $5,320 in Defence Funding for Civilian Qualifications
If you’re within 24 months of leaving the ADF, you may be eligible for up to $5,320 in funding through Defence’s Career Transition Training allowance. This benefit is designed to support your move into civilian employment by covering recognised training directly aligned with your post-service career goals. Importantly, this includes Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) — the process we use at Served to Cert to convert your military experience into nationally recognised civilian qualifications.
This allowance can be paid directly to training providers like Served to Cert or reimbursed to you after approval, but it’s vital that you apply and get approval before starting the process. Our team can walk you through the application steps to make sure you meet all requirements — including ensuring your qualifications align with your post-transition goals and begin within the eligible timeframe.
Even if you’re medically transitioning out of service, there may be an extended eligibility window if health or injury has delayed your ability to train. Served to Cert is here to help you maximise the support available and make your next chapter as smooth and rewarding as possible.
