FAQS

RPL formally assesses the skills and knowledge you’ve already gained through work, service, or prior learning, and aligns them to units within a qualification.

Anyone with relevant work or service experience can enrol to gain a nationally recognised qualification. We support veterans, emergency services, government and frontline workers, and experienced civilian professionals.

Served to Cert offers qualifications across business, leadership, management and project management, WHS and Supply Chain. See our course page for a complete list. All qualifications are nationally recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).

We start with a consultation to understand your background and career goals. Then we review your evidence, identify suitable qualifications, and guide you through RPL and any required gap training.

Yes. All qualifications are issued under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) by Served to Cert (RTO 45605).

The timeframe depends on your experience and how quickly you can provide supporting evidence. RPL is usually completed in 2-6 weeks, while training or gap learning may extend this period.

Not necessarily. If your evidence meets the requirements, you may not need to complete additional study. If there are gaps, we’ll provide guidance and a plan for completing them through gap training.

RPL can save time and cost by reducing duplication of learning. It helps you gain formal recognition for your experience, enhance employment opportunities and industry recognition.

Anyone with relevant work experience—military, emergency services, or civilian—can apply. We assess your eligibility based on documented evidence and consultation.

You can provide service or employment records, training certificates, position descriptions, performance reviews, or third-party references as evidence.

We’ll work with you to identify alternative evidence, such as supervisor statements, verified work samples, or reference letters to support your claim.

Qualified assessors experienced in your vocational area review all evidence to ensure it meets the national competency standards.

You’ll receive feedback outlining any areas requiring gap training, and we’ll support you to complete the remaining components. Served to Cert also offer full qualifications and can also advise on further study pathway option through other providers such as TAFE.

Your Defence experience provides skills in leadership, communication, and problem-solving that align closely with business, management, and WHS qualifications.

Emergency services personnel often qualify for leadership, WHS, or project management qualifications. We’ll match your experience to qualifications that strengthen your career opportunities.
